Cops probe wounded man’s story

A 17-year-old suffered a gunshot wound of the thigh in Summerdale on Oct. 10 and police are trying to figure out how it happened.

Police were called to the 900 block of Granite St. at about 1:45 a.m. where they found the wounded teen in a cousin’s house. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, treated and released.

The injured youth told officers that he had been urinating in a driveway when two men in dark hoodies approached him. One of the men had a gun and shot him for unknown reasons, the teen said. He then ran to his cousin’s place.

Detectives did not find a gun or shells at the scene and are trying to corroborate the details. ••
